The Dark Knight is a 2008 American superhero film which is co-written and directed by Cristopher Nolan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the Dark Knight is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005). Christopher Nolan was inspired by the Joker's first two appearences in the comics and Batman: The Long Halloween. The Dark Knight was filmed primarily in Chicago, as well as in several other locations in the United States, United Kingdom and Hong Kong.
The Dark Knight film was released on July 16 2008 in Australia, July 18 2008 in North America and July 24 2008 in United Kingdom. Upon its release, the movie broke box office records for biggest opening day and opening weekend. In addition to commercial success, the movie was also critically praised with an approval rating of 95% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
The Dark Knight Film Plot :
Batman and James Gordon join forces with Gotham's new District Attorney, Harvey Dent, to take on a psychotic bank robber known as The Joker and the mobsters and Scarecrow who planned how to handle Batman, Gordon and Dent, and Joker's crimes grow more and more deadly.
