Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, also known as LanEvo, Lancer Evo or Evo is produced by Mitsubishi Motors. There are thirteen official versions of Lancer Evolution and each model is most commonly using a roman numeral. All Lancer Evolution models are using 2.0 litre, turbocharged engine and four-wheel drive system. Originally, the Lancer Evolution was supposed to be sold in Japanese markets, but import demand led the Evolution to be offered through RalliArt dealer networks in the United Kingdom and in various European markets from around 1998. After being witness of the success of Subaru with Impreza WRX, Mitsubishi decided to export the eight generation of Lancer Evolution to United States in 2003.
